Southside Travel runs pre-booked, door-to-door taxis from Southampton to central London and the City of London at a fixed price agreed before you travel. No train changes, no carrying cases across the Underground: your driver collects you from home, your hotel or the cruise terminal and drops you at the door.

The journey is about 80 miles via the M3 and usually takes around 2 hours, depending on traffic and where in London you are going.

Why take a taxi instead of the train?

For one person travelling light, the train is often cheaper. For a couple or family with luggage, or a cruise party with large suitcases, one fixed fare door to door is usually simpler and can work out similar per person once tickets, Tube or taxi transfers at the London end and carrying bags are added up.

• Standard saloon for up to 4 passengers
• Executive cars and the Mercedes S-Class for business travel
• 6 and 7 seater MPVs and 8 seater vehicles for families and groups
